Infusion Nurse-Part time
Valhalla Vitality is currently hiring Paramedics and IV Nurses for Part time IV concierge services in the Rockaway Beach area. In this position, you will be responsible for collecting vital signs before and after treatment, verifying the correct patient and treatment using the Six Rights of Medication Administration, preparing, connecting, and properly disconnecting the IV. Our ideal applicant is a registered nurse or paramedic with specialized training in infusion therapy.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Must be able to properly connect and disconnect an IV treatment
- Must be able to follow the Six Rights of Medication Administration
- Must be familiar with the treatment they’re administering, and it’s benefits, to answer any questions the patient may have
- Create a calming environment and make sure the patient is comfortable before, during, and after the treatment
Requirements and Qualifications
- Active LPN/RN license in NYS OR Active Paramedic certification in NYC and NYS
- CPR and all relevant specialty certification required
- IV therapy experience and training hi
- Strong communication and patient care skills
- Active Driver’s License
- Ability to work independently without supervision but keeping an open line of communication with management
- Ability to work under pressure
- Exceptional interpersonal skills
Compensation and benefits
- This is a part time position
- Compensation based on shift
